Junior Product Manager
Dear Hiring Team,
I am applying for the Junior Product Manager position because the role brings together exactly the areas I have been focusing on over the past few years: understanding users, working with data, collaborating across teams, and translating insights into clear product priorities.
Alongside my Master's in Management & Technology at TUM, I currently work in Product Management at CHECK24. There, I support product decisions with both quantitative and qualitative insights. For example, I built SQL dashboards for weekly product reporting that reduced manual reporting effort by around six hours per week. I also conducted and evaluated user interviews, then worked together with design and engineering to turn the findings into a prioritized backlog. This experience taught me how important it is to connect user needs with measurable product goals rather than treating research and data as separate inputs.
During my internship at BMW Group, I analyzed more than 2,000 survey responses and derived prioritization proposals for an upcoming release. I prepared KPI reports for the product owner and structured insights for product discussions. At Flix, I supported business operations with data preparation, process documentation, and internal knowledge management. Together, these roles taught me to communicate information so teams can make decisions quickly.
I also enjoy building and testing ideas myself. In the Campus Compass project, I helped design and prototype a campus navigation app and conducted eight usability tests. During HackaTUM, our team built StudyMatch, a study-group matching prototype, within 36 hours. For my Bachelor's thesis, I evaluated machine learning models on 12,000 customer records and translated the results into recommendations for reducing subscription churn.
What attracts me to this position is combining structured product work with close collaboration across design and engineering. I enjoy moving between user feedback, product data, and implementation decisions. I bring practical experience in user research, SQL, backlog refinement, Figma, Jira, and data-driven prioritization, plus a strong interest in building products around real user problems.
